Short answer
ZapLog is a dedicated expense tracker: screenshot an Alipay, WeChat Pay or JD Pay payment page and the amount and merchant are logged automatically, with monthly and yearly charts, local processing, no ads and no subscription. ScreenNote is not a dedicated expense app: logging payment screenshots is one part, and it also pulls to-dos into reminders and makes the text in images searchable, on iPhone and Mac. For daily expense tracking with charts pick ZapLog; if tracking is a side effect and you keep many other screenshots, pick ScreenNote. Third-party facts checked 2026-10-16.
The differences at a glance
| ZapLog (无感记账) | ScreenNote | |
|---|---|---|
| What it mainly does | Per its page: screenshot an Alipay, WeChat Pay or JD Pay payment page and the amount and merchant are detected and logged; monthly and yearly spending charts; optional auto-cleanup of screenshots afterwards | Keeps what is inside screenshots: on-device OCR, payment screenshots logged as expenses, to-dos created automatically, find the original from one word |
| Platform and requirements | iPhone; iOS 18.0 or later; interface in Chinese and English | iPhone (iOS 17 or later) and Mac (macOS 13 or later) |
| Price | Free to download; the page says no ads and no subscription | Free app, core features cost nothing; AI optional (official AI has a free monthly quota; Pro subscription or your own key) |
| Where data goes | The page says all data is processed on the device and never uploaded | OCR runs on the device; with AI off, neither images nor text leave it |
| Beyond expenses (check date) | The page covers payment-screenshot logging only and does not mention to-do reminders, full-text search or a Mac version | Payment logging is only one part: it also does to-do reminders, full-text search of image text and has a Mac version |

When to pick ZapLog (无感记账)
- All you want is daily expense tracking: shoot a payment-success page, logged in 3 seconds, with monthly and yearly charts.
- Your iPhone is on iOS 18 or later and you prefer a light tool with no ads and no subscription.
- You only use Alipay, WeChat Pay and JD Pay.
When to pick ScreenNote
- Payments are just part of what you screenshot; you also keep to-dos from chats, meeting details, guides and reference, and want one place to keep and search them.
- Your iPhone is on iOS 17, or you also use a Mac and want screenshots to sync between devices.
- You want screenshots that contain to-dos to become reminders directly.
Limits of ScreenNote
- ScreenNote is not a pure cleaner: it focuses on keeping what is inside screenshots; batch cleanup with a receipt before deleting is ScreenStack's job.
- With AI turned on, the content being processed is sent to an AI service, so it is no longer purely on-device; keep AI off if you want nothing to leave the device, and on-device OCR, full-text search and sorting still work.
- Every automatic sorter gets some wrong, so try a few of your own screenshots before switching.
Three things to test yourself before you commit
- Take 5 Alipay or WeChat Pay success pages and compare how accurately each app picks up the amount and merchant.
- Then take 3 non-payment screenshots (a chat to-do, a guide) and see what ZapLog can do with them and what ScreenNote can.
- If spending charts matter, use ZapLog for a week first and decide whether ScreenNote is enough.
Moving over from ZapLog (无感记账), or using both
ZapLog keeps expenses on the device and its page does not describe an export (not verified). Switching does not move existing entries: leave what is already logged in ZapLog and send new payment screenshots to ScreenNote, or use both, ZapLog for expenses and ScreenNote for everything else. Once ScreenNote is installed with photo access, payment screenshots already in your library are recognized again.
FAQ
Are ZapLog and 无感记账 the same app?
Yes. Same App ID: the China store lists it as 无感记账-截图自动记账 and the US store as ZapLog - Snapshot and done.
Does ScreenNote make expense charts like ZapLog?
ZapLog's page lists monthly and yearly spending charts. ScreenNote's focus is logging payment screenshots as entries while keeping everything else in the image; charts are not its headline feature, so if charts matter most look at ZapLog first.
Is data on the device in both?
ZapLog's page says all data is processed locally and never uploaded. With AI off, ScreenNote also keeps images and text on the device.
Can I use both?
Yes: payment screenshots to ZapLog for expense tracking, everything else to ScreenNote. They do not conflict.
